Gov. supports prov’l OTOP Congress

ROXAS CITY – Gov. Vic Tanco commended the efforts of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and other agencies involved in the recent Provincial “One Town, One Product” (OTOP) Congress held July 15, 2009 at the MVW Restaurant and Tourist Inn here.

“This congress will help the Small and Medium Business grouos. More Businesses mean more jobs for the people and this will create a vibrant economy in ourn province,” said Tanco.

The OTOP Cngress is intended to improve “One Town, One Product” advocacy in the regional and national levels and also to advance the partnership of local government units, DTI and other agencies involved.

Agencies that participated in the congress were: Provincial Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PMSMEDC),,, Capiz Multi-Purpose Council (CMPC), Capiz SME Center, Samahang Industriya para sa Kaunlaran at Pag-asa ng Capiz (SIKAP), Roxas-Capiz Rich Food Producers Association Incorporated (RCRFPAI), LGUs, and OTOP MSME’s.
